E pa ana ki Kia ora FM

Kia Ora FM 89.8 is the local Iwi/Māori radio station that broadcasts from Wharite to an audience capacity of 120,000. We are the media arm of Tanenuiarangi Manawatū Incorporated, the iwi Authority for Rangitāne o Manawatū. We broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the entire year. We cover part of the Kapiti Coast, all of Horowhenua, Manawatū, Rangitikei, and parts of Wairarapa and Tararua.

Kia Ora FM focuses on music and issues which are current and which relate to the lifestyle of New Zealanders. Our listeners tune into Kia Ora FM 89.8 because we tackle the issues no one wants to tackle, we encourage community participation and we are local. We are not driven by ratings or profit. Our format promotes our culture, our heritage and encourages the involvement and growth of people, music and New Zealand as a whole.
